In the Lab, part I

Haven't posted here in a bit, sorry folks. I'm hoping to get it back to it's weekly schedule soon. My good friend, and pre-press/production guru, Erik Swanson is going to be helping me out with keeping the blog's running. He's already in charge of the M.A.D. blog, and things are going much more smoothly there now.

Anyway, on to the art...

I'm supposed to do one of those online photo tours of my studio, but I stink at taking photos. Still, I thought you might like seeing a sneek peak. These are of some old college days paintings, back when I used more oil paints then inks.

Also, the Monster-a-Day project is still going strong... even with a few bumps in the road. Check it out

I've seen that painting in the upper left corner of that first shot before...

Oh yeah ;-)

It's a prized piece for me, and the only art not my own that hangs in the house!

Thanks again, homey.

Always impressed by those monster a day sketches and now it's a real treat to see your oil paintings.

Thanks man. I wish I'd had continued with it more. I was so disenchanted with painting after college that I just stopped. I had huge, life sized portraits (as big as 5' x 7') paintings that were really good that I just tossed out or gave away.
