Happy New Year!! Monsters, Un-men and more!

It's a new year, and all new art to be made!

The big news here is that Project Monster-a-Day is complete!!! I can't believe it! It was a rough road, doing the monsters as well as my normal work load....but it was worth. I had a ton of fun, and I'm planning a collection of all the mosters into a book as well as a big full color print/poster of all the color sundays. Check back for more news on that, or sign up for my newsletter

I'm adding a new weekly feature to the site. Keep and eye out for that.

Ok, so this is a big month for The Un-men. We have issue 8 of the series, as well as the first trade up for pre-order. This is a big deal because orders on the trade can really go a long way in keeping the series alive. So, make sure your local shop is aware of the series and don't be shy about asking them to carry it!

Here's the solicitation info on the books:

“Uniquely entertaining…wholly original…a fantastically dark world. I was sucked into it from the moment I opened the first issue.” — Ain’tItCoolNews.com
Breakout writer John Whalen and Eisner-nominated artist Mike Hawthorne (THE EXTERMINATORS, Queen and Country) bring chilling new life to THE UN-MEN — the former SWAMP THING adversaries created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson — in this volume collecting the first five issues of the new series that explores what it means to be a freak in a society filled with gawkers.
After a sideshow attraction called “The Gill-Boy” is murdered, an albino agent known as Kilcrop is dispatched by the government to solve the case. To uncover the truth, Kilcrop must infiltrate Aberrance, where society’s most misshapen outcasts find their own kind of freedom.
Advance-solicited; on sale April 9 • 128 pg, FC, $9.99 US

Part 2 of “Children of Paradox.” Inkabod reveals the source of his skin-crawling condition and his tale has Cranius a little too interested. Could this strange affliction be somehow linked to the origin of the Un-Men themselves? Possibly, but Kilcrop and Niko have stranger things to deal with.
On sale March 12 • 32 pg, FC, $2.99 US • MATURE READERS,

You can pre-order the trade at any comic shop, as well as any online and brick and morter book stores. They are available through all major chain bookstores but I say support your local comic shops and book stores if you can.

Oh, and just in case you missed it I also got to do an interview with John Siuntres of Word Balloon fame. Go ahead and give it a listen, as we cover everything from the Un-men to Hysteria. Also, check out the interview I did with Robert Murray at Silverbulletcomicbooks.com.
