A Hellboy and his dog. W.I.P. pt.I

This week's character on Comic Twart is Hellboy. Here are the pencils for my piece.

Umm....I am assuming this is your version of Hellboy, right? I was laughing when I saw it because that does look like a true "hellion boy". The three headed dog is tight.

Yeah, this is my version. I won "Hellboy" in a bet, and get to start a new comic however I see fit ;)

So I noticed you've been using red pencil (or multiple colors of pencil) for your pencils...I know you scan these in and print them back out in blue line for the inks...any reason for using the different colors? "Cause you feel like it" is a totally acceptable answer. :) Just curious if there was more method to your madness...

Pat - I basically do just use them for fun. You can scan them in color and drop out the color in Photoshop to get a fairly clean scan, so it can work as a way of eliminating rough structure drawing in the final stage.

Not sure if I want to sell the pencils just yet. Maybe the final inks?
