G.I. Joe: Origins lettered preview
Found this lettered preview on a forum that was linking to this blog. Didn't know IDW had released lettered previews, so this is new even to me!
Most of the pages they previewed are from Tom Feister, who drew the first half of issue 1. I did the second half, as well as the rest of the four issue series, but Tom set the tone of the book AND set the bar pretty high too. ;)
best,
Mike

Art now available at Central PA's Comix Connection
Have you ever wanted a piece of my art work, but wanted to see it in person first? Well, now you can...if you live in or near Central PA.
Comix Connection is now carrying some of my artwork, including some prints. Bill Wahl, co-owner of the two store chain, has sold my work online before via Ebay but is now offering the art in his brick and morter stores. He has artwork from Queen & Country, Machine Teen, UMBRA, The Un-men as well as some other rare pieces from various projects.
Right now I think the bulk of it is in his Mechanisburg (near Harrisburg) store, but you can inquire about seeing it in his York store.

Hysteria trade?
I'm entertaining the idea of self publishing the collected Hysteria comics into trades. I'm also thinking of taking pre-orders, at a discounted rate, to raise money on the print run.
So, my question to you folks is would you be interested? I'd started with Vol. 0 of the webcomic, and work my way to Vol. 2.
I figure I'd take pre-orders for about a month or so, and ship the books out a month after that...depending on the printer. If I can, I'd like to keep the price of the book around 10 to 15 bucks. If you pre-order I'd offer maybe 30% off or so, give or take. Or maybe I'd offer it with a print instead. Haven't worked out the details yet.
Any takers?
Mike

The issue of Star Trek I illustrated should be in stores soonish. Here's more info on it.

Star Trek Alien Spotlight: Tribbles
Stuart Moore (w) • Mike Hawthorne (a) • Hawthorne, photo (c)
An offbeat one-shot featuring STAR TREK's most unlikely alien race! Welcome to Serjilla IV, an abandoned world completely overrun by Tribbles: friendly, trilling balls of fur that eat constantly and, in the words of Dr. Leonard McCoy, "reproduce at will." When a human freighter, boarded by hostile Klingons, crash-lands on Serjilla, the Tribbles' quiet but lonely existence is shattered. It's a simple situation, really—three desperate humans, a squadron of angry Klingons, and a billion hungry Tribbles. What could possibly go wrong?
