Black Widow commission

Hey everyone!

Here's another commission I wrapped up recently. Kind of a companion piece for my earlier Daredevil and Electra pieces.

Daredevil, Frank Miller remix!

Hey everyone,

Ok, so I recently got a commission to do a large Daredevil piece. I tossed around the idea of doing a classic Daredevil-over-the-city type of piece, but none of the sketches I did spoke to me.

I think it was because in the back of my mind I really wanted to do a companion piece to the Elektra Lives Again piece I did a while back.

So I searched around on Google and found this cover by Miller and Janson.

It hit me all at once that I wanted to remix this thing! EVEN at the risk of being presumptuous (This IS Miller after all!)

So I came up with this.

I agonized over this thing, but in the end I'm pretty happy. Had a ton of fun on it too.

Drawing for fun - ELEKTRA pt.III

Still plugging away at that Elektra piece, when I have a minute or three.

Resolved the hair, which kept bugging me. Didn't *feel* right before mainly because it looked more like a flag then hair to me. I fixed some issues with the legs too. One was too long, and too thin. Didn't match the other at all, and threw off the balance.

Also added some new dead ninjas. Gotta look for ref on some cool tombstones. I think I want to add an angel sculpture somewhere in the background, maybe off in the distance a bit.

Drawing for fun - ELEKTRA pt. I

Remember how cool 'Elektra Lives Again' was? I came late to it, but once I laid eyes on it I knew I wanted to make THAT kind of comic. Anyway, over the weekend I decided to play around a bit with a shot of Elektra VS the ninjas in the cemetery, made famous by the fight scene from book.

Even used a red pencil for extra wreck. More soon.
