Meant to ask on these pages, did you go into laying out and drawing these pages with a clear vision on how you were going to use the grays and tone the images or was it one of those things where after you inked the page, you started tweaking around with the tones? Just like how the tones really enhance or pop the images a touch more. Like the subtle gray tone on the nose in the last panel. Just makes the definition of the nose work every so much more. Like the perspective in the first panel as well.

I did. I used to draw all these things knowing that I'd be using tone, so I planned for it.

In this case, I had toned these pages for when they were printed by Radio Comix (was it them, I can't recall), but I had my buddy Erik go back into the pages for the new stuff and he basically used my old pages as a guide.

I still plan for tone (or color) now when doing new pages.
