BLACK BEETLE process

Some process behind the BLACK BEETLE piece.

The flat colors for an aborted digital painting of the BLACK BEETLE. Just didn't have enough time to finish it last week.

Switched over to an inked version of the piece.

The last minute second BLACK BEETLE piece. Painted with white acrylic on black paper, with some white pencil here and there.

Enjoy,
Mike

Wow...that top sketch in your sketchbook that didn't make the cut (the one with the gun pointing to the left), man, flip that image and it would have been just as incredible.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing that one again. Energy +1.

Thanks man. I often dig a sketch, but it doesn't work for the final I want to execute. Anyway, glad you dig it ;)

Love how you create such a sense of atmosphere with just the set of BB's jaw and a few rain lines. Great piece.
