Jean Grae - Cake or Death trailer

So, if you know me you know that I'm a like long Hip Hop addict. Grew up with it, and never grew out of it.

Some people bitch about the state of Hip Hop right now, but to me it's never been brighter. I feel like we're hearing amazing music every day.

I have a few artists who's stuff I buy instantly, no questions asked. Jean Grae is on that short list. No lie, she's one of the best ever. I've been following her music since hearing "Bum deal" way back when.

So imagine my fanboy-like thrill when she asked me to collaborate with her to help create a visual side to her new upcoming album - Cake or Death.

It all came about when she saw this piece I did of her, and she hit me up on Twitter.

After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I agreed to whatever she wanted to do :-)

Anyway, here's the trailer to the upcoming album.

Here's a link to the "Cookies or Comas" mixtape she released as a prelude to the album.

Oh, and check her out at JeanGrae.com.

We have more planned, so stay tuned. This gon'be good!

Thanks, man! I don't quite fit into comics neatly, so I keep trying to find my own way. Maybe it'll all work out eventually ;-)

Hope you're well, man.

i don't agree at all. ESPECIALLY after seeing that euro book. holy fuck. i will be actively searching that out. when is it out? i haven't even had a chance to start on a tryout for the euro book i was contacted about. but when i do,that's when i'll bug you. gotta get dkr out of the way first.

i'm in somewhat of the same boat. but everyone's asking me why i don't work for marvel or dc, like it's a choice. ha.

but i'm good. tons of all kinds of fun work.

Jean Grae’s got taste. This won’t be your last music market work!

Dang, that pinup is nice. Surely see why she reached out. Hell of a camera angle. Instead of a straight on shot, doing a nice angle made that from well done to awesome!
