Professor Elemental comic cover!

You may recall me talking about my man, Chap Hop rapper extraordinaire, Professor Elemental. In that post I hinted at a project we were working on, and I can finally show you what I was talking about.

The good Professor asked me to contribute a cover for a comic project!

So, here's what I came up with. I was stoked to work with him, and had an idea he was totally into!

I'll post more info on the comic soon, including where you can pick it up. So stay tuned!

Check out the Professor's website.

Best, Mike

UPDATE!! - I got some details on the comic's debut from comic writer Chris Mole; "For the first time ever, experience the incredible adventures of steampunk's maddest scientist, Professor Elemental, in glorious comic book technicolour! Featuring two original tales of the Professor's exploits and an adaptation of the song 'Quest For The Golden Frog' drawn by three of England's finest small press comic artists, and with a cover lovingly crafted by comics legend Mr Mike Hawthorne (Conan the Barbarian, Mass Effect), the first issue of 'Elemental Comics' will make you a stiff cup of tea... after knocking your proverbial socks off! The comic will go on sale this weekend at Comicpalooza and will be available from the Professor's website (and in person at his live performances) shortly afterwards!'

That seriously rocks. I am proud to say that I contributed to the good Professor's upcoming web series pilot, and you, sir, brought him to my attention.

Thanks, Charles! Both for the kind words and for contributing to the show! It's gonna be great :-)

I'm looking forward to it. By the way, the curling smoke in the drawing has an Alphonse Mucha feel to it. Are you a fan of his stuff? A long time favorite artist of mine.

Cover looks amazing and its even more super cool remembering that I too was in The chronicles of Professor Elemental! Fabulous time and an awesome group of people involved with anything he does from stage to screen to the comic book scene.
Hope it sells like tea and hotcakes.

Charles - I was for a decorative feel, that Mucha is so great at. I wasn't directly influenced by him, but for sure had him in mind.

@eddsnotdead - Thanks, man! We all appreciate the support :-)
