I'm assuming this is from the Casanova series from Image. First, that is a great image. I love his expression. Nothing says random chaos like a gun and a comb. The swagger of a killer (both of his prey and his ladies). Love the tie "effect" too. Pretty neat idea.
Second, it is funny because I just put the Casanova trade on my list to buy. I missed out on the issues and at one point had an issue bundle from Diamond cancelled so now I'm getting in trade. Just finished up Umbrella Academy and was wow'd by Ba's art.
Casanova is one of those books that I wish I had drawn, that's how fun it is. I don't say that lightly.
I kinda knew Matt from before Casanova. We'd met once in San Diego, and he said something randomly crazy and sweet to me and I instantly liked him. After reading this book, and all the great "liner notes" after each issue (man, I hope they include that in the trade. You'll love'em). But I didn't know much of him as a creator, till I read Last of the Independents. Then I knew he was brilliant.
Casanova cemented that.
I haven't read his Marvel stuff, so I can't say shit on them. But Casanova is pure magic.
