Conan: Road of Kings #3 pencils

I've been meaning to post these since issue three of Conan" Road of Kings came out a couple of weeks back. So, sorry for the delay. Anyway, I wanted to share some of the pencils from the book, which I really enjoyed working on.

This sequence was really difficult to pull off, and my choice to make 2 and 3 a two page spread didn't help matters, but in the end it was worth it. I hope you'll agree.

I'll share more pencils soon.

Best,
Mike

When you said it was difficult to pull this off, was that due to what was requested with the script or just the execution factor from your standpoint?

Always curious on the storytelling and thumbnail process of artists. I think it came out great. No dialog needed and the story flows!

Loving that first page, but how dare Roy have a title page with a bar wench dancing on a table and no Conan.

Hey Mike
When you draw a 2 pages spread to you put 2 11*17 pages together or is there a 22*17 paper out there

Place holder for overused Burgess Meredith Rocky quote in appreciation of your skills and effort.

Pat - Mainly the script. It had so much that needed to be done, and still look cool.

Jamal - HA! :-)

J.S. - It's two sheets of Dark Horse paper taped together. You trim off a bit for the paper's "bleed" and butt them together.

R. - HA HA HA!! I do love me some Micky quotes!

Samax - Thanks, my good man. I'm trying like hell!

Thanks for all the love, fellas!

I'd like to buy that top page if you sell it.

Bill!

I'm flattered you'd like to own my scribbles, but that's one of the few pages I'd like to hold on to. It's got a certain something(s) I like about it ;-)

Thanks again!
