Conan #7 preview & process

Hey everyone,

Newsarama.com has a preview for Conan #7, so I figured I'd share the pencils for you "How-to" junkies. Hope you dig it.

There you have it. From pencils to final pages. Let me know what you think.

best,
Mike

Great stuff, Mike. Third page down is fantastic. Second panel has great movement, from the tilt of the Conan figure to the dynamic horse pose. And the final panel with Conan kicking the guy from the horse has tremendous impact. The storytelling on the whole five page sequence is very clear and almost doesn't need dialogue, though don't tell Roy I said so.

Solid stuff like always. I gotta say that panel with the guy getting kicked off the horse is great. Love the way you capture movement in your drawings

Dynamic...the man upstairs'd be proud.

Thanks a million, guys! I really really appreciate the love. I'm trying to do right by Conan, even if some fans are not seeing it. I'm putting everything I got into it, while still keeping it on time.

Best,
Mike

As always, this is some great stuff man. Thanks for sharing the pencils and the process pages. Great to see the stuff in the raw form.

Question, do you approach this any differently since you aren't inking this?

Thanks, man.

As to your question. Really, all i do is draw it a little tighter. That's about it.
