I must say, in all honesty, you are coloring the shit out of this book. The story looks strange as hell, but damn, this coloring is just like rainbows on crack.

Truly makes someone want to visit this alien world. Well, at least I would want to.

Thanks, Patrick! I'm doing my damnedest to make it alien, and appealing. I worry it'll be too rich of a palette for some, but I can't help it!

Thanks again!

I think the intense colors really help point up the alien nature of the environment. The page is powerful too, because the Om can't fully enjoy the beauty of the garden as long as he is someone else's property, and the zoom in to the collar drives that home. The fact that his owner is oblivious to his feelings makes it more sad and powerful. All this without a speech balloon or caption. Visual story telling, Mike. You have the knack.

oh my god, dude, i love this. love the vegetation. just a damn good pg!

my ONLY bugaboo about this pg, is that my eyes are drawn to the 3 bright things around the alien, and not the alien itself. maybe if you muted those 3 colors, and did something different with the "tree" that's behind them?

i did a quickie thing here-

i desaturated the plant life around them, lightened up the main "tree, and then messed with "color balance". brought up the red, yellow. and lightened the alien's head. hope this helped! this work is amazing. very inspiring!

Thanks, Scott. Very cool of you. I'll keep this in mind for the final book :-)
